On the field

After college Gold was 43rd SuperDraft pick to Toronto FC in 2011, Canada Cup Champions. Gold made 6 appearances: 3 MLS, 2 Canadian Cup, 1 CONCACAF. He made his professional debut as a substitute in a game against Seattle Sounders FC. Gold played college soccer at Ohio State University while also playing for Austin Aztex U23 in the USL Premier Development League. He started all 4 years, was captain for 2 years. He was a National Finalist in 2007 and 2 time Big 10 Champions and made All-freshman team in 2007, 1st and 2nd team all conference 2009 and 2010, respectively.

Do you have any superstitions? Practice shoes and game shoes are the same and always read my Bible during pregame.

What is your favorite movie?Man On Fire and Friday Night Lights.

What is your favorite kind of food? Mexican

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Why? Chicago or Buenos Aires - like the seasons and the big city feel but I've always appreciated Hispanic culture being in Texas and wanted to be more fluent in Spanish.

What kind of music do you listen to? Any favorite bands/artists? All kinds. Hillsong United, Lecrae, Chris Brown, Coldplay, Zac Brown Band

What would you do if you didn’t play soccer? Be an extreme sports junkie or work for Athletes In Action, a college and pro sports ministry.
